Tampa Bay Uncorked is a volunteer-run organization and needs the help of many people to put on our events each month. Your service to Tampa Bay Uncorked is invaluable and appreciated. And we love our people!
There are two different kinds of volunteerism: Event Coordinators and Event Volunteers.
Event Coordinator:
This volunteer is part of the Leadership Team, which meets once a month. To be considered for this position, you need some event planning experience since you will be responsible for an entire event. You will team up with a Leadership Team Member but you do the lion's share of the heavy lifting. Most of our events are on Thursday or Friday nights, so availability on these days is important. It's not necessary that you be able to attend all the events in order to be involved. But if your life is already really busy (work full time + 3 kids + 3 other groups you are committed to) then this may not be the thing for you. We desperately need reliability and follow up.
Event Volunteers:
Wine knowledge is absolutely not important, but some is necessary, like the difference between a white and a red and how to open a wine bottle.
Volunteer positions available at events:

- Door: check tickets, sell tickets, sell t-shirts, check in volunteers, hand out glasses
- Wine pourer: open bottle and pour 2-ounce pours to guests, identify and cut off inebriated guests
- Food station (when necessary): serve food and keep food station clean
- Clean up/Set up: help set up before the event and help clean up after the event
